About Lucretia

Lucretia Bingham studied writing and painting at Sarah Lawrence College. Upon graduation, she went to Los Angeles where she made a living as a free-lance writer, painter and photographer. Her credits include publication in Vanity Fair, Conde Nast Traveler, Travel and Leisure, and Saveur. She was a frequent contributor to the Los Angles Times Magazine and their Travel section. In 1999, she moved back East to her roots. With her beloved husband Jim, she lives, writes and paints, daily recording the passage of light across Long Island Sound from their grand shingle style house.

Adventure and drama are in her blood. Her grand-father Hiram Bingham, the rediscoverer of Machu Picchu, was the inspiration for the character of Indiana Jones. Lucretia literally walked in her grandfather’s footsteps on the Inca trail, danced in Trinidad’s Carnival for Saveur, and scoured exotic destinations all over the world for inspiration. Her recent works are ABSOLUTE CORNELIA and its sequel BEYOND ABSOLUTE LOVE .

Please write her at Lucretiawb@gmail.com. She welcomes all questions from readers.
